SixjaxTerran vs dKiller Finals Blizzard LA Invitational 2011

Go dKiller!

Spoiler

Game 1
SixJax opens with reapers, while dKiller goes speedlings into Muta.  Adds baneling with burrow!

Yes!  Chasing Marines with banelings off creep is pointless, I think massed ling + muta makes more sense vs marine tank.  Tank splash hurts marines as well as lings.

SixjaxTerran adds a few Thors to his Marine Tank army.  While dKiller adds Infestor but still seeems like Zergs can't handle SixJax's midgame power.

Zerg players don't seem to have good mid game response to SixjaxTerran's midgame play.  SixjaxTerran keeps constant pressure up on ground until Zerg gets temporary advantage, by then Zerg will have bases spread out.  And Sixjax will abuse that with drops at opposite ends of the map, plus ground pushes.

Think Zerg needs to do 2 base all in or heavy defensive and/or offensive Nydus play to counter that strength of SixJaxTerran.  Or possibly fast mass drops by zerg might work with Muta ling.

So SixjaxTerran gets into midgame and hammers dKiller into a GG.

SixjaxTerran wins Game 1

Game 2

dKiller takes out first two Hellions with no losses.  Puses with some speedlings, takes out couple more orange flame hellions and delays Terran taking his natural.

Dkiller holds off first blueflame attack fairly well, & techs to Muta.

Second Blue flame hellion attack does serious damage to drone count though.

Sixjax gets some Thors out to hold off Mutas.

Sixjax is actually going mech, no bio out at all, dKiller gets Gold on Terran's side creep blocked, and get real food lead.

Wow!  Killer is teching to Infestor, Broodlords & Ultras all about same time!  Neural Parasite being researched.   But SixJaxTerran pushes before any of that Tier 3 tech is ready.

Takes out dKiller's Natural & then an expo, forces GG.

SixJaxKiller takes series 2-0 & wins the Blizzard LA Invitational 2011
