Hardware Hacking with KeyMe iOS app

An app by https://www.keyme.net/ that will scan a key (picture) that you can then take to Kiosk https://www.keyme.net/kiosk or locksmith that will make a real key based on image on your smartphone.

Interesting, but I see a lot of security and/or hacking issues with this, though it has been possible to make keys from high res pictures for some time now.

Technology like this defeats key access control easily, pretty much forces non physical key (ie a key card) for any real security.

Though most common key cards have many security issues as well.

Professional iOS apps: Anatomy & Medical Meditations Calculator

I am not a big iOS fan personally, but my girlfriend has iPad , and I plan to get iPad (mainly for the secure aspects of iOS & PDF reading) next Spring.

So I am continually doing research for useful apps and accessories, I will definitely use this Anatomy app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/anatomy-atlas/id295806778?mt=8, it will be useful for my work in Forensics, Physical Anthropology, and Martial arts.

Not sure if I will use this medical calculator app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mediquations-medical-calculator/id287958963?mt=8 but it turned up in my search for the Anatomy app, and has very high rating.

Might see if the Medical Examiner I know locally would be interested in it.

For more inforomation on the Medical calculator app see company's website http://www.mediquations.com/iPhone_iPodTouch_iPad/index.html

Podcasts on Android & iOS

http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-download-listen-to-podcasts-android-ios-iphone/

Good overview for both types of devices.

Covers computer connected option as well as wireless, my preferred method, via WiFi/Mobile Internet.

Article covers a few of the better Podcast Apps for both eco systems, since you generally need an App for a decent wireless podcast experience with most devices.

I listen to podscasts a lot, I don't like music for aerobic workouts, cardio is real important but mind crushingly boring for me.

So I tend to listen to hardcore tech or science podcasts during aerobic workouts.

Also listen to same types of podcasts when I am exhausted but Asthma is preventing me from really sleeping.
